ETL Developer with Python and PostgreSQL (M/F/D)

Migrate ETL pipelines from IBM Datastage and Oracle using Python to extract data from various sources, transform it according to business rules, and load it into PostgreSQL databases.

Collaborate with data architects and stakeholders to understand data requirements, model data flows, and define transformation logic.

Implement efficient SQL queries, stored procedures, and functions in PostgreSQL to support data integration and reporting needs.

Optimize ETL processes for performance, scalability, and resource usage, including query tuning in PostgreSQL.

Build and maintain data validation and quality checks, including automated tests, reconciliation scripts, and alerting for data anomalies.

Monitor ETL jobs and database health, diagnose failures or performance issues, and implement fixes or improvements.

Document ETL processes, data dictionaries, lineage, and operational runbooks to ensure maintainability and team knowledge transfer.

Troubleshoot cross-system data issues, participate in incident response, and provide root cause analysis and remediation plans.

Participate in code reviews, mentor junior developers, and contribute to improving team standards and best practices.

Good knowledge and several years of practical experience in Python development.

Solid skills in Postgres and SQL.

ETL experience is desirable.
