Guide: how to use the portal

You do not need to know about computers. We explain everything step by step, in plain language and with pictures.

You do not have to read it all. Choose from the list below what interests you.

1 What this portal is

This is where employers post job adverts, and you can browse them and reply to the ones that interest you.

Everything is free for job seekers Browsing offers, seeing phone numbers and sending applications: you pay nothing for any of it. Ever.

Who this portal is for

For anyone looking for work: from a first job to retirement. We pay particular attention to older people: large type, plain language, jobs without heavy lifting, and a calculator that checks whether earnings will reduce your pension.

What you will not find here

  • We are not a recruitment agency. We do not recommend anyone to anyone.
  • We take no commission from your wages.
  • We do not sell your data. To anyone.

2 How to create an account

2 Do I need an account

No. Job seekers do not create accounts on our portal. You browse offers, see the phone number and send your application without registering.

Employers and tradespeople create accounts

The “For companies” button at the top is for businesses and tradespeople who want to post an advert or a service offer. If you are looking for work or a tradesperson, you do not need it.

Beware of requests for a password

Since you have no account with us, nobody from the portal will ever ask you for a password or ask you to create one. Anyone who does is a fraudster.

3 How to log in later

3 Coming back to an offer later

Found an offer and want to come back to it tomorrow? There are simple ways.

Write down the phone number

Click “Apply for this job”. The number appears at the top of the window. Write it down or save it in your phone.

Bookmark the page

On a computer, press Ctrl and D together. On a phone, choose the star or “Add bookmark” in the browser menu.

Or send yourself the link

Copy the page address and send it to yourself by text or email. You can forward the offer to a family member the same way.

4 How to search for jobs

Click „Job offers" at the top of the page. You will see all adverts, newest first.

Search

At the top of the list there is a box where you type what you are looking for, e.g. care, cleaning, garden. Next to it you enter the town.

Filters

  • No heavy lifting
  • ZUS-safe: jobs where earnings usually do not affect your pension
  • Silver Expert: employers particularly open to people aged 50+
  • Verified only: companies whose details we have checked
  • Jobs in English: adverts described in your language
You do not have to tick anything Filters help but are not required. If you tick too many, there may be no results at all, then click „Clear filters".

What the coloured labels mean

  • ✓ Verified: we have checked the company details
  • Silver Expert: employer welcoming people aged 50+
  • Accessible: adapted workplace
  • On site or Remote
  • Featured: an advert by the company, not our rating of the offer

5 How to save an advert for later

5 Before you call

Talking to an employer is easier when you know what to ask. Prepare a note with a few questions.

How many hours and which days

Ask whether the hours are fixed and whether they can be adjusted to suit you.

What kind of contract

The type of contract may decide whether your earnings count towards ZUS limits. Check it in our calculator.

How much they pay

Ask about the hourly rate and whether it is gross or net.

Where exactly

Address and how to get there. Whether it involves lifting, standing for long or climbing stairs.

Pay nothing before your first day

An honest employer does not charge for training, work clothes or an “entry fee”. More in section 13.

6 How to see the phone number

6 Seeing the phone number

Numbers in the list are partly hidden, e.g. 600 ••• •••. That is on purpose: and you do not need to log in to see the full one.

Open the offer

Click Details → on the card.

Click „Apply for this job"

The number and email appear at the top of the window, before you fill in anything.

On a phone, tap the number

Your phone will dial it. No need to copy the digits.

Why numbers are hidden in the list

If they were visible at once, spam programs would harvest them within days. Employers: often ordinary families looking for a carer, would get dozens of calls from fraudsters.

So one device can see ten numbers a day.

You pay nothing for this

Browsing, revealing a number and sending an application are free for job seekers. Always.

We prepare the CV for you

From your answers we make a CV file. The employer gets it by email with your application. Below the form you can open “Add more information”. It is optional.

7 How to apply

7 Sending an application

You do not need an account. Just fill in a few fields, we will turn them into a clear message and send it to the employer.

Open the offer and click „Apply for this job"

Orange button at the bottom.

The employer's number is at the top of the window

If you prefer to call, tap the number.

Fill in: name, phone, town, a few sentences about yourself

It need not be long: what you did, what you can do, when you can start.

The preview is on the right

This is exactly what the employer will see. On a phone the preview sits at the bottom.

Confirm you are not a robot and click „Send application"

One click in the box.

Only the red button in the corner closes the window

Clicking beside the window does nothing. That is deliberate: so an accidental movement does not wipe your filled-in form.

What happens next

The application goes straight to the employer's inbox. If interested, they will contact you. We do not store the content.

8 How to add your CV

8 What to write about yourself

You do not need a CV file. Nothing to upload or scan: a few sentences in the application window are enough.

What is worth writing

What you used to do

„I worked in a grocery shop for 20 years" is plenty.

What you can do

For example: drive a car, work a till, cook, looked after grandchildren, know about gardening.

When you can work

Mornings, afternoons, two days a week, whatever suits you.

What NOT to give

Do not write your ID number, bank account or health information. An employer has no right to ask for these before hiring you.

9 ZUS calculator: will I lose my pension

Almost every pensioner asks this. We built a tool that answers in seconds.

Are you 60 (woman) or 65 (man)? You may earn without any limits. ZUS will not reduce your pension, no matter how much you earn. This is the most common misunderstanding.

Limits apply only to people on early retirement and disability pensions.

Click „ZUS calculator" at the top
Enter your gross pension amount
Enter how much you plan to earn monthly
See the result

Green: safe. Yellow: pension may be reduced. Red: pension may be suspended.

This is a guidance tool The calculator does not replace ZUS. The thresholds change four times a year, in March, June, September and December. You must notify ZUS yourself when you start work.

10 I am looking for a tradesperson

10 I am looking for a tradesperson

The “Handymen” tab lists offers from plumbers, electricians, tutors and many others. You do not need an account and you do not type anything in.

Click “Handymen” at the top

On a phone, tap Menu first.

Choose a category and enter your town

The list shows tradespeople near you.

Click “Show number” on an offer

The number appears at once. On a phone, tap it to call.

Arrange everything directly with the tradesperson

Agree the scope, date and price together.

Safety when ordering services

Do not pay a deposit before agreeing the scope. Never give card details or banking passwords. For electrical and gas work, ask to see the licence. If you live alone, invite someone you trust for the first visit.

We check offers, not tradespeople

We read every offer before publishing, but we do not check qualifications and are not responsible for the work. The contract is only between you and the tradesperson.

11 The text is too small

In the bottom left corner of the screen there is a blue circle with a figure. Click it.

  • Enlarge text: three levels.
  • Higher contrast: stronger colours, clearer letters.
  • Underline links: easier to spot what you can click.

Your settings are remembered.

A method for the whole browser Hold Ctrl and press + a few times. To go back: Ctrl and 0.

12 Our site on your phone

You can add us to your phone's home screen: you will open the site with one tap, like an app. It takes almost no space and costs nothing.

Android phone (Samsung, Xiaomi, Motorola and others)

Wait a moment on our site

After about half a minute a question appears at the bottom of the screen.

Tap „Add to home screen"

iPhone

Tap the „Share" button at the bottom

The square with an arrow pointing up.

Scroll the list down
Choose „Add to Home Screen"
Confirm with „Add"

If the question did not appear, you will find the link „Install app" at the very bottom of the page.

13 How to avoid being scammed

Fraudsters look for victims everywhere, including on job portals. This list may save you from losing money.

Never, under any circumstances:
  • pay money „to start", for training, medical checks or work clothing
  • give your card number or banking password
  • send a photo of your ID before signing a contract
  • agree to receive and pass on other people's transfers
  • give anyone access to your bank account

Warning signs

  • Very high pay for simple work
  • Pressure to hurry: „you must decide today"
  • A request for payment: any, on any pretext
  • No specifics: unclear what company it is or what the work involves
  • Contact only via messenger: no phone conversation

What to do if something feels wrong

At the bottom of every advert there is a link „Report this advert". You can also write to kontakt@pracadlakazdego.pl.

The rule that protects best An honest employer never asks a candidate for money. If someone asks: it is a scam, with no exceptions.

15 When something does not work

The page looks odd or will not load

  1. Press F5: this refreshes the page.
  2. If that does not help: Ctrl and F5 together.
  3. Check your internet connection.
  4. Try a different browser.

I cannot see the button described in the guide

On a phone some buttons hide behind the Menu button in the top right corner.

It still does not work

Write to kontakt@pracadlakazdego.pl. Describe in one sentence what you wanted to do and what happened.

There are no silly questions If something is unclear, it means we described it badly, not that you failed to understand.
